Feel It

Today I walked, surprisingly confident (or at least not crazy nervous as expected), into a writing appointment with a published writer.  Co-writing with a complete stranger can be awkward enough, but throw in the fact that this guy is a “real” writer (as opposed to someone like me who can write, but doesn’t get paid to do it full time) AND our writing room was in my old office — with my old boss (who I don’t love) in the next room — well, let’s just say I could’ve been a mess and somehow I wasn’t.  We wrote a fun song in a relatively short amount of time and he invited me back for more so I’ll take that as a good sign.

Happiness is right outside your comfort zone.  Take the step.
